Paint Effect
Paint Effect is a mask that allows manual painting on the model in 3D or 2D using brushes, alphas, and painting tools.
Toggle Paint Mode
With a single button you can switch between Paint Mode, which allows manual painting on the model in 3D, and Object Mode.
Brushes
You can choose between four main brushes:
Paint, to paint directly on the model.
Erase, to erase applied paint or details.
Clone, which copies information from one area and applies it to another.
Fill, which fills entire areas with a color, material, or pattern.
Brush Options
Radius
Adjusts the brush size.
Strength
Adjusts the brush strength.
Stroke method
Choose between different application methods.
Spacing
Adjusts the spacing between brush marks.
Alpha
The alpha gives texture and shape to the brush.
You can choose between your own image or one from the MatPlus library.
Mask Mapping
Controls how the alpha affects the brush.
View Plane
Applies the mask based on the camera view, projecting it directly onto the model from your screen.
Tiled
Repeats the mask continuously in a tiled pattern on the surface, following the object’s UVs.
Random
Applies the mask with random variations of position, rotation, or scale.
Stencil
Uses a texture as a fixed stencil that you can move, rotate, and scale in the view to project it manually onto the model.
Falloff
Falloff controls how the effect of a brush fades from the center to the edges.
Falloff is controlled with a curve, which you can adjust to change the falloff effect.
There are different preconfigured presets that you can select from the dropdown menu.
