Interface Overview
Layers section
When we create or open a project, this is the interface we will see.
It is divided into three sections.
MatPlus Set Materials
In this section you will find the list of materials contained in the meshes.
Only existing materials in the mesh can be added. Extra materials cannot be created.
With the Add object button you can add the materials of the selected meshes.
With the Remove button you can remove the materials of the selected meshes.
At the top of the interface, there are two additional buttons:
Left button: Opens the MatPlus project.
Right button: Deletes the selected project.
Layers
In this section we can find all the tools that will allow us to create the material.
Settings
In this MatPlus panel we can configure different advanced parameters for each material individually.
In this section we can find the channels that are configured to be used in all MatPlus layers. By default, Color, Metallic, Roughness, Normal, and Height are enabled.
To add more channels we can use the Add Channel button, where we will find optional channels such as Transmission, Emission, Specular IOR, Specular Tint, Coat Weight, Coat Roughness, Alpha, SS Weight, SS Scale, and Displacement.
Some of these channels, when enabled, open a series of parameters that we can configure according to the project’s needs.
If certain channels are not needed, we can remove them by clicking on the X.
Sections
On the left we can find the buttons for the other sections.
Layers settings
This part works together with the layers section. Here we can find all the values, options, and channels.
